Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What can I do about color shift on Matchprint™ proofs? The proofs "look wrong."
a. Use the correct color laydown sequence: YMCK.
b. Make sure your processor is properly maintained. Staining and toning may occur if not properly maintained.
c. Check for correct exposure.
d. Use the specified base for the Matchprint™ material.
e. Check development - brush pressure, developer temperature, developer flow rate.
f. Make sure you are storing the proofs properly. Protect finished proofs from prolonged exposure to heat and light.
g. Improper viewing conditions can cause proofs to "look wrong". View finished proofs under standard viewing conditions: 5000°K lighting and a neutral surround.
h. Positive proofs must be post-exposed before viewing.
